While the names of these scenic places in America are renowned world over, a recount of these natural wonders always becomes a good reminder of great American wonders beyond its 21st century cities.

Great Smoky Mountain National Park

Distributed between the states of North Carolina and Tennessee, this national park brings the finest display of nature in America. The wildflowers which grow year-round and the endless forests, streams and rivers make Great Smoky Mountain one of the most popular national parks in the country.

The park’s most popular destination, Cades Cove Loop Road, is a 10 mile trail with beautiful views of the river and many activity options along the way. With cascading waterfalls, wildlife and landscapes stretching over five hundred thousand acres, there is clearly a good reason for the park’s massive popularity.

Yellowstone National Park

A home of the hotsprings, Yellowstone National Park located in Western United States is home to more geysers and hotsprings than any other place on the planet! The park itself sits on top of a dormant volcano and is widely known for Old Faithful, the most famous geysers of all, making it one of the most recognised natural wonders of America. The vast majority of the park is located in the state of Wyoming, which surprisingly other than the geysers, is also famous for its bison herds.

The world renowned geyser, Old Faithful erupts about twenty times in a day and was one of the first geysers in the park to be named.

Rocky Mountain National Park

Considered as the highest park in the United States, the Rocky Mountains National Park with its towering landscapes and spectacular mountain environment is renowned for its gorgeous views.

The park's highest peak, Longs Peak, stands at an elevation of more than fourteen thousand feet. Spanning the area around Northern Colorado, the park is most loved for its drives passing through aspen trees, forests and rivers. Estes park is the closest town to the east side of the park, where its sixty mountain peaks make it world renowned for its spectacular scenery.

Yosemite National Park

Located in Northern California's Sierra Nevada mountains, Yosemite National Park is one great example of America's natural wonders. The park’s dramatic waterfalls, huge lakes and forest trails welcome millions of visitors every year. A must see place on a visit to California, Yosemite is located near the city of Mariposa.The place is most famous for its towering Bridalveil Falls and gigantic cliffs of EL Capitan. The nearby Yosemite Village has facilities of lodging, along with shops, restaurants and galleries to explore during the day.

Famed for its mountain waterfalls, iconic climbing spots, deep valleys and the longest living trees , Yosemite has been amazing visitors since generations.

Grand Teton National Park

Often confused as a part of Yellowstone National Park, this park actually offers a completely different experience of its natural surroundings. Although being much smaller than Yellowstone, Teton National Park is still a place worth exploring for its beautiful peaceful views and hundreds of miles of trails with the company of gorgeous mountain scenery.

A popular national park destination, Grand Canyon National Park with views of the canyon and the majestic Colorado River, known for its white water rapids and dramatic bends, are some of the park’s scenery which becomes even more dramatic when witnessed at sunset or sunrise.
